INTRODUCTION

people who are making the transition from life on the reserve or community
to urban life in Thompson. It provides programs and services in relation to
the social, educational, cultural and recreational needs of the community.
It operates as a non-profit, charitable organization and is operated

FACILITIES
The Friendship
Centre is located in the centre of town and close to major offices and
shopping facilities. The building was expanded and renovated in 1987 and is
wheelchair accessible, featuring a ramp at the front entrance and an
elevator in the main lobby. We offer a bright and spacious board room,
equipped with audio-visual equipment for a small rental fee. The expanded
Friendship Centre houses a program room and brighter offices. We are pleased
to announce that in February 2001, the Ma-Mow-We-Tak Friendship Centre
became a smoke-free facility.
